Question: How is the donor hair removed with FUE? Is it a strip of hair that is removed?
Answer: By definition FUE or follicular unit extraction is the intentional removal of donor hair one follicle at a time. This leaves no donor site scar and while more expensive, is excellent for those with short hair or who do not want any donor site scar. There is no strip of hair removed.
Question: I have a large forehead that does not photograph well. Can the shape of the hairline be altered by hairline advancement?
Answer: Yes, the hairline can be lowered by hair grafts or by surgical means. The choice is between you and your surgeon and both will make your forehead smaller and look natural.
Question: My hairline has little elasticity but I still want to have hairline advancement. How can elasticity be added to the skin on my forehead to allow for hairline advancement?
Answer: True elasticity is hard to change, but wide undermining and good surgical technique may help the problem. We have developed great techniques in our office to deal with this specific problem.
