Question: I was in a car accident and lost the skin tissue above one of my eyes. It has healed well, but there is a patch of my eyebrow that won’t grow back. Have you had success with eyebrow transplants over partial scar tissue?
Answer:Eyebrow transplants are very sophisticated hair work. Our office has had great success with this procedure even in scar tissue. This is the best method to restore a natural eyebrow hairline and density.
Last year I had an eyebrow hair transplant and was really happy with the results. However, they seem to have worked too well because they are really bushy now! Is this a side effect of a transplant? I guess I’d rather have them too bushy than too thin.
Answer:
Eyebrow transplants need to be trimmed on occasion. The thickness you have is probably related to the number of grafts that were placed. You can always have some grafts removed but I suggest you take the trimming approach first.
