Question: My spa offers BOTOX treatments for half of the cost of the doctors in my area. Why would going to a doctor's office be a better option? Is it really worth the money?
Answer: Injections of any potentially harmful materials should be carried out only by a licensed physician. To put yourself in harms way by having a layman do this is crazy. College, medical school and residency is about 15 more years training than anyone in the aesthetics field receives.

Question: How long does the BOTOX toxin stay in your body? Will it have any adverse effects on my overall health?
Answer: Botox toxin stays localized to the area of injection. In these areas it is metabolized and removed usually between 2 and 6 months. There should be no adverse effects to your overall health from the use of Botox.
Question: I have horrible frown lines all around my mouth; will botox injections ameliorate my problem? Are there greater risks having botox injected in the lower half of the face?
Answer:Botox around the mouth for wrinkles is not ideal. Both fillers like Juvederm or Perlane and\or laser are much better for this problem.
Question: Is there a risk of being allergic to Botox? What would happen if it’s possible to have a reaction?
Answer: Reported allergic reactions to Botox are very rare but it is possible. Redness and swelling at the injection site would be the most likely reactions if there were any. These would resolve very quickly.
Question: I'm debating between a browlift and Botox. Can you explain the difference between the two in terms of results?
Answer: The biggest difference is a brow lift will last years and Botox will last a few months. Also there is no comparison in the quality of results. A brow lift is much more dramatic and a better way to solve wrinkles and drooping (ptosis). However Botox is quick, easy, relatively cheap and a great early fix.
