Dr. Galitz is a board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and a board certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon. He also has completed a special fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

After graduating from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1980, Dr. Galitz was named Physician in Residence at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. Upon completion of two years of general surgery internship and residency, and four years of head and neck surgery, Dr. Galitz entered his facial plastic surgery fellowship under the directorship of Richard Farrior, M.D.; a world-renowned facial plastic surgeon and innovator of many surgical procedures.
